Recreating a signalling process in the test tube provides clues to bowel cancer

To research diseases, especially cancer, we need an arsenal of innovative tools at our disposal, and a team at the Institute of Cancer Research has created an important protein pathway in the test tube that opens up a host of new research implications. The process that the scientists recreated involves a complex protein that often has mutations in patients with bowel cancers.
